Reference : Extremely Rare & Unique Black Paint with * Asterisk !!!,purchased from WILD LEITZ in Switzerland around 1990,lens was released in 1960,was sent to Leitz Wetzlar for black repaint service or was special order which that kind of service available in 60’s to early 70’s,that’s reason why Leitz Wetzlar put * asterisk before serial no. to identify it
