Item Name : Carl Zeiss 153mm f5.6 Pleogon A2 Aerial Lens
Serial no. : 116264
Reference : Huge & Extremely Heavy lens,over 43lb,optimized Biogon for 8x10" format ( image circle 320mm ). comes with an rotary shutter, used in aerial mapping cameras, but the motor is missing, so it has to be controlled manually. The resolution and contrast depends on the f-stop. At f/4 the resolution in center is 390 lppmm, high contrast,at the corner resolution is just 80 lppmm, low contrast at f/11 the resolution is over the complete image field 140 lppmm on very very high contrast.The "A"in the name will say, it is an apochromatic lens, corrected for blue, green, red and infrared.Since it is designed for photogrammetry purpose, it is tending to zero distorsion.
